Happy 2015!! It’s been quite awhile since I’ve published a post. I’m energized, healthy, and ready to get started again with interesting tidbits about how to be an effective communicator.

Everything we do in business relies on knowing how to communicate effectively. Be it speaking or writing, the key is knowing who your audience is and how to grab their attention. But, you also need to know how to write and speak so others understand you and relate to what you’ve said or written.

If you want to make an impact in 2015, here are three more top tips for successful communication:

1.Less is more: Be concise. Avoid long rambling convoluted sentences.

2.Simple is not stupid: Use plain language and avoid bafflegab or jargon.

3.Clarity counts: Make sure your written communication is logically sequenced and organized.

Look forward to having you join me. Please remember to check out our new look at www.thelanguagelab.ca . And be sure to leave your comments in response to the upcoming posts.
